Marketing Strategist, Rainmaker, Yenta and Coach, Dave Sharp has more than 25 years experience leading marketing initiatives with some of the world’s best marketers—including Campbell Soup, Ford, Paccar, Airborne Express, Domino’s Pizza, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and US Bank, among others.

Sharp’s background includes work on the client-side with Caterpillar and Armstrong; as well as Senior Management positions in major national advertising agencies (Sharp Hartwig, Cf2GS, Bozell Worldwide and FCB); and, executive marketing positions with media companies including Aptimus and BELO Northwest.

Dave has a long track record of helping government agencies, corporations and not-for-profit organizations that are involved in complex and sometimes high profile public policy issues and public engagement campaigns. He also has extensive experience in strategic marketing communications planning and crisis communications in both the public and private sectors. The Seattle Post Intelligencer recognized Dave for as one of the top Cause Marketing matchmakers in the region for his ability to connect not-for-profits to the corporate world. Dave has helped plan some of the regions most successful fundraising and capital campaigns for clients including Seattle Art Museum, Woodland Park Zoo, Pacific Science Center and Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center.

Sharp earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Bradley University, Peoria Illinois. He received his Master’s Degree from the School of Communications, University of Illinois. Sharp serves on numerous national and local boards. He is also partner of Sharp Hartwig, Inc. and a partner and CEO of Sports Widow Entertainment, LLC.

Art Director and Designer, Jenn Putnam works with clients to develop fresh, insightful, results driven marketing communications programs. Jenn creates high impact identity programs, collateral materials, interactive communications, web sites, newsletters, annual reports, advertising, direct marketing, media kits, and environmental graphic programs.

Putnams’ client experience includes work with the Washington Department of Transportation, King County Department of Natural Resources, Sound Transit, Seattle Parks & Recreation, Port Ludlow, The Essential Baking Company, The Robbins Company and Seattle Monorail Project, among others. In each case she has brought her unique ability to generate creative work that breaks through and moves the meter.

Senior Project Manager/ Writer/ Producer: Chris Sharp leads the firms’ content development/ content management efforts. She has received some of the media’s most prestigious journalism awards including the Peabody Award, New York Festival Gold Award, Centennial Governor’s Award, Corporation for Public Broadcasting Award, as well as multiple Emmy Award nominations in broadcast television, public broadcasting and cable TV.

Chris began her career in nursing, as a Health Systems Analyst and Family Therapist. She taught undergraduate psychology, sociology and nursing at the University of Washington and worked as a Family Health Systems planner for Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. She launched Passages Inc. in 1984, an independent video production company focused on creating documentaries and family histories. One of her documentaries, “The Doctor from Mauthausen,” was featured on ABC’s Good Morning America. She also co-produced segments for ABC’s Prime Time Live.

In 1986, Chris joined KCTS (Seattle) as a producer/ reporter for the Emmy Award winning shows Inside Edition, Nightsight and Evening Edition covering health/ science issues, social issues/trends, aging and business news. Chris produced a number of award winning news segments and stories for MacNeil Lehrer Newshour from 1988 to 1990 (including the Peabody Award winning investigative report “Backhauling”).

In 1990, Chris opened CNN’s Northwest News Desk. During her tenure, she covered breaking news stories and produced live and taped segments for a variety of CNN shows including Larry King Live, Burden of Proof, and Moneyline as well as supporting CNN units including: Science & Technology, Medical, White House, Environment, Travel and Showbiz. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Bradley University and her Masters Degree from the University of Washington.

Project Manager, Tara Sharp works closely with clients to assure that client projects are completed on- time, on-budget and without surprises. Tara’s experience includes public relations/media relations support, internal/ external communications writing, special events planning, photography, merchandising and promotions coordination.

Tara served as Director of CORE (Committee Organizing Rape Education) at the University of Washington. Other not-for-profit organization experience includes her work with the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center, PONCHO and Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center. She also worked with Seattle advertising agency, Williams Helde Marketing Communications where she helped create the premier issue of Just Cause magazine.

Tara earned her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from the University of Washington.
